Job description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Sr. Maintenance and Reliability Manager for a top Petrochemical Manufacturing client in Pensacola, FL.
As a core member of the Business and Site Leadership Teams, this executive-level leader is accountable for the strategic and operational execution of all maintenance and reliability functions. The role is tasked with leading a multi-year reliability transformation, driving productivity through predictive strategies, and managing a large organization of approximately 75 contractor team members. This leader will be the primary architect of a proactive, data-driven culture designed to maximize Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and site profitability.
Job Responsibilities
  • Strategic Transformation: Establish and execute a multi-year strategic plan to transform maintenance and reliability, delivering improved productivity and reduced mechanical downtime.
  • Operational Leadership: Direct and develop a site-wide reliability and maintenance team; partner with the Site Director to resolve operational constraints and drive AOP (Annual Operating Plan) commitments.
  • Maintenance Execution: Drive safe, cost-effective, and regulatory-compliant maintenance activities using standardized Maintenance Work Processes (MWP) and optimized SAP workflows.
  • Reliability Strategy: Implement advanced predictive and preventive maintenance strategies across mechanical and instrumentation systems to maximize site-wide OEE.
  • Capital Planning: Prioritize maintenance investments and capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with process safety and organizational growth goals.
  • Turnaround Management: Oversee the development of complex turnaround strategies and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance execution efficiency.
  • Team Culture: Foster a high-performing, values-driven culture focused on innovation, safety, and capability growth across a large technical organization.

Requirements
Education & Licensing
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) is required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly preferred.
  • Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in operations, reliability, or maintenance leadership roles is REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the Chemical or Petrochemical industry is REQUIRED.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale maintenance and reliability transformations in an industrial setting.
Skills
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of world-class maintenance standards, predictive analytics, and turnaround planning.
  • Systems: Expert-level proficiency in SAP and integrated maintenance management systems.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large, diverse technical teams (75+ members) in dynamic environments.
  • Change Management: High tolerance for ambiguity and a proven ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
