Job Summary:

You will be responsible for strengthening the Engineering & Construction (E&C) organization's operational excellence in this cross-functional specialist role. The role establishes and maintains project delivery processes, supports global QA/QC programs for owner supplied major equipment manufacturing (inverters, modules, trackers, transformers, etc.), and serves as the primary interface between the U.S. E&C team and Repsol's Technical Optimization Team in Madrid.

The role ensures that E&C teams deliver projects efficiently, consistently, safely, and in alignment with Repsol's global technical standards, lessons learned, and continuous improvement objectives.

The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development & Organizational Support:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized procedures, workflows, templates, and governance tools that support the E&C project lifecycle (from development handover through execution and commissioning).

  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering & Construction, Procurement, Risk, and HSE teams to ensure processes are embedded into daily project execution.

  • Support the rollout of project management frameworks, including stagegate governance, change management, document control, and reporting standards.

  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, including postproject reviews and lessonslearned integration across projects.

  • Ensure E&C process alignment with Repsol corporate standards, compliance requirements.

QA/QC for Owner Supplied Equipment Manufacturing (Modules, Inverters, etc.):

  • Support the development and execution of the QA/QC strategy for major equipment suppliers, including PV modules, inverters, trackers, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.

  • Work with the engineering teams to define inspection and test plans (ITPs), FAT procedures, and manufacturing quality requirements.

  • Coordinate with thirdparty inspectors, EPC partners, and OEMs to monitor:

    • Factory audits

    • Inprocess inspections

    • FAT/IFAT activities

    • NCR/CAR tracking and closure

  • Support evaluation and qualification of key vendors, ensuring traceability, documentation, and conformity to Repsol's technical standards.

  • Assist with data collection and QA analytics to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities in equipment manufacturing quality.

Technical Optimization Team Liaison:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the U.S. E&C organization and Repsol's Technical Optimization Team in Madrid.

  • Ensure U.S. project needs, technical challenges, and lessons learned are communicated to global team.

  • Drive adoption of engineering standards, technical updates, approved technology lists, and design optimizations into U.S. project scopes.

  • Coordinate technical reviews, design benchmarking, and crossmarket best practice exchanges.

  • Support harmonization of North American project execution approaches with Repsol's global technical roadmap and innovation initiatives where beneficial.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, project services, QA/QC, or process development-preferably in renewable energy (solar/wind/storage) or largescale infrastructure.

  • Experience with PV equipment manufacturing QA/QC is a strong advantage.

  • Experience working within global, multidisciplinary organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • Master's degree or professional certifications (PMP, ISO lead auditor, CMQ/OE) are a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
