About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting syndicated loan and alternative investment operations by maintaining accurate portfolio data, processing complex transactions, and ensuring operational integrity. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams, agents, and clients to resolve discrepancies, manage corporate actions, and support reporting accuracy. Success is measured through high-quality execution, data accuracy, timely issue resolution, and adherence to operational and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Research and process corporate actions, loan restructures, and lifecycle events across syndicated loan portfolios
  • Maintain accurate facility, issuer, and portfolio data to support downstream reporting and operational activities
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies through coordination with agents, counterparties, and internal stakeholders
  • Interpret credit agreements, legal documents, and transaction records to ensure accurate transaction processing
  • Monitor operational controls and identify risks, exceptions, or process gaps impacting data quality
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables for clients and business partners
  • Support monthly reporting cycles by identifying, researching, and resolving data and reconciliation issues
  • Document procedures and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Assist with employee training, knowledge sharing, system enhancements, and user acceptance testing activities
  • Collaborate across operations, technology, and client-facing teams to deliver accurate and timely service outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typically, 5+ years of experience in financial services, trust operations, syndicated loan operations, or related investment operations environments
  • Experience processing syndicated loans, corporate actions, restructures, and complex financial transactions
  • Strong understanding of loan accruals, payment processing rules, and operational controls
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply provisions within credit agreements and other legal transaction documents
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify and resolve complex discrepancies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and financial operations systems
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting CLOs, CDOs, private credit, leveraged loans, or alternative investment products
  • Familiarity with loan servicing, portfolio accounting, or trust administration platforms
  • Experience participating in system implementations, process automation, or testing initiatives
  • Knowledge of reconciliation processes, financial reporting, and operational risk management practices
  • Demonstrated experience training, mentoring, or onboarding team members

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $70,390.00 - $119,670.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
