We are currently seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Mooreland, OK plant.

What You Will Do:
  • Promote a safe work environment and safe job performance by actively participating in all plant safety programs as directed by management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, legal and company standards, emphasizing safety as a top priority.
  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
  • Schedule and direct activities for approximately 10 full time employees in the areas of production, packaging, maintenance, and warehousing.
  • Monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards by developing and reviewing reports and metrics.
  • Coordinate plant activities through planning to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide training and guidance to subordinates.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment.
  • Replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Update knowledge and skills to handle new complexities, challenges, and responsibilities (for example, seeking out training, learning from experience, researching best practices, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations).
  • Work closely with regional Environmental Health and Safety Managers to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies and environmental requirements.
  • Work with shift staff in concurrent manner, helping on the production lines when necessary, general plant cleanup, equipment operating provided properly task-trained, and general maintenance activities as necessary.
  • You will be assigned to a designated shift, following industry accepted DuPont working schedule that includes alternating 12-hour shifts of various lengths and alternating from days to nights on prescribed intervals. Overtime is a reality of the position as plant-needs dictate.

  • Strong sense of responsibility; understanding of business implications of decisions.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively in generating solutions.
  • Highly organized and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking.
  • Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and must be able to effectively present information to others.
  • Flexibility to work effectively in a changing environment. Ability to adapt to changes in work environment, work assignments, and/or changes in priorities.
  • Exercises good judgment and discretion in determining best method and procedure to be followed.
  • Ability to rapidly process and comprehend large amounts of detailed information and to consider the implications and consequences of new facts and make decisions.
  • Proven leadership skills; ability to build consensus, rally support around common goals and to motivate groups and individuals.
  • 3 years leadership experience

Working Conditions and Physical Environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
