Job Description Performance Excellence Manager - Quincy, ILThis is a salaried-exempt positionSummary:The Performance Excellence (PE) Manager is the site resource and coach for the site operations and point of contact for the ADM central PE & Learning teams for implementing PE & Learning practices, implement Continuous Improvement standards and best practices from ADM and industry. The PE Manager will partner with the site leadership team to understand current programs, identify areas for improvements and create plans to move the organization that support the site's SMS processes, including various Review & Respond sessions and Deployment and the Site's X-Matrix / Big Rocks. The PE & Learning Leader owns the creation and execution of the site Performance Excellence & Training and Development Deployment plans and will also lead and facilitate training sessions, as well as mentor and train other team members to lead and facilitate training sessions. Job Responsibilities:Develop and implement a premier training program to provide a highly effective, robust, motivated, and safe workforce passionate about continuous improvement. Provide coaching on problem solving using data and analyticsAssist departments with root cause analysis, systematic problem solving and the implementation of sustainable countermeasuresPerform education for location teamsTrain & influence teams to utilize tools and methodologies aligned to PEIn the course of work, identify gaps and provide solutions.Responsible for the Site's new hire training program.Establish relationships and collaborate with OJT (on the job training) mentors, subject matter experts, procedure reviewers, training reviewers, engineers, managers/supervisors, and EHS staff to support the site's training activities.Maintain, update and audit all training documents and procedures as required by changes, MOCs, and periodic reviews.Enhance skills to include adult learning methodologies and deliver one on one coaching and instruction, in the field training, casual small group training, and formal stand up instruction.Collaborate with the Performance Excellence Team to develop, implement, document, and measure the efficiency of training.Mentor and develop site team to establish an inspiring & high performance culture.Other management support functions as determined by Complex Manager to assist in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.Job Requirements:A minimum of a high school/diploma or GED is required. A bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Leadership or similar degree, is strongly preferred.A manufacturing background as a plant supervisor or similar experience is strongly preferred.3+ years of experience facilitating, leading L&D/training programs in manufacturing operations.Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc. is required.Experience with Alchemy, CourseMill or other LMS programs is a plus.Systematic problem solving skills related to manufacturing performance.Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to communicate cross-functionally with team members at all levels of the organization, in both written and verbal formats, is required.A strong foundation and demonstrated use of Performance Excellence.Demonstrated belief in growth mindset and the individual's ability to learn and develop with appropriate training, desire & effort.The ability to lead and motivate others.The ability to assess training needs, translate job requirements into training requirements, and organize instructional material both during development and in presentations.Proficiency in active listening, clear communication, training, coaching, and developing others.Networking skills to engage others in support of Performance Excellence and training programs, including the ability to encourage and improve the levels of engagement within their team.Presentation skills suitable to all types of training (one-on-one coaching, in-the-field training, casual small group training, and formal stand-up instruction) and a self-driven work ethic that is a positive role model for trainees.Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
