Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dietary Managaer to join our outstanding team!
$25.00 - $35.00/hour

The Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations at the Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, St. George, UT. This role ensures the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals that meet dietary requirements and safety standards for our veteran residents. The Kitchen Manager will lead kitchen staff, manage inventory, and maintain compliance with health regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Manage kitchen staff schedules, training, and performance to maintain a productive and efficient team.
  • Ensure all meals meet nutritional guidelines and special dietary needs of residents.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to accommodate resident preferences and medical requirements.
  • Prepare reports related to kitchen operations, inventory, and staffing as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
Qualifications
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification strongly preferred or must be obtained within 6 months
  • Must have 3 years’ dining services management experience with 1 year prior experience in senior living.
  • Must be graduate of A.D.A.-approved course in food services OR certification in the culinary field.
  • Must have current Food Handlers permit/ServSafe certification.
  • Must be experienced in preparing meals on a regular basis for large groups – hospitality environment preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable of special diets.
  • Must be seasoned business manager who understands financial and operations aspects of dining services.
  • Must have 2 years’ supervisory experience
Work Environment

This position is based at the Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, St. George, UT. The Kitchen Manager will work primarily in a kitchen environment and may be required to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
