Summaryย 

Theย Operationย Manager willย be responsible forย overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the transportation andย logisticsย department. This role will involve working closely with other departments within the company, as well as external partners and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective transportation andย logisticsย processes are in place.ย 

ย Duties and Responsibilitiesย 

  • Oversee the transportation andย logisticsย department's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficientlyย 

  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are metย 

  • Develop and implement transportation andย logisticsย strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitabilityย 

  • Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, toย maintainย strong relationships and ensure reliable transportation servicesย 

  • Monitor transportation andย logisticsย performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessaryย 

  • Conduct regular audits of transportation andย logisticsย processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulationsย 

  • Provideย timelyย andย accurateย reports on transportation andย logisticsย activities to managementย 

  • Identifyย and implement continuous improvement initiatives toย optimizeย transportation andย logisticsย operationsย 

ย Educational background / Work experienceย 

  • A bachelor's degree in transportation andย logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.ย 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation andย logisticsย management isย required. Experience in the freightย forwardingย industry is preferred.ย 

ย Skills & Competenciesย 

  • Strong organizational and project management skillsย 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsย 

  • Knowledge of transportation andย logisticsย regulations and complianceย
