We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Contents Operations Manager to oversee household contents restoration projects from start to finish. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating restoration technicians, managing project schedules, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the restoration process.
The ideal candidate has experience in the restoration industry, excellent leadership and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a working knowledge of residential household contents, electronics, textiles, furniture, and appliances. This individual will lead by example, build a high-performing team, and ensure compliance with company systems, safety standards, and restoration best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Manage restoration projects from initial assignment through completion.
Lead, coach, and develop restoration technicians while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate daily work schedules, staffing, equipment, and project priorities.
Conduct project inspections to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Maintain clear communication with homeowners, insurance adjusters, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Review project documentation for completeness and accuracy, including inventories, work orders, photographs, and project reports.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate pack-outs, cleaning, deodorization, storage, contents manipulation, and pack-back activities.
Oversee the installation and reconnection of household appliances and electronics when applicable.
Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Participate in estimating, project planning, and change management as needed.
Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members.
Promote continuous improvement in operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, IICRC standards, and OSHA safety requirements.
Qualifications
3-5 years of restoration industry experience preferred.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
Strong knowledge of residential contents restoration processes.
Experience handling electronics, textiles, furniture, artwork, appliances, and specialty contents preferred.
Familiarity with insurance restoration and property claims processes.
Working knowledge of appliance installation and household systems.
Proficiency with restoration software such as DASH, Encircle, Gratiis, Xactimate, or similar platforms is preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally work in residential restoration environments.
Preferred Qualifications
IICRC Certifications (FSRT, OCT, TCST, CDS, or related) - but not necessary.
Experience managing insurance restoration projects from loss through completion.
Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
