Overview
This is a second shift role that will supervise direct and indirect employees and the production to meet established schedules. The supervisor must maintain safety, quality, productivity, and communication standards, along with controlling costs. Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
2nd shift position.

Manchester is a city in Delaware County, Iowa, United States, located along the Highway 20 corridor between Dyersville and Independence. Delaware County is centrally located just 45 minutes from some of Iowa's biggest hubs (Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Dubuque) - but you don't need to go far to find excitement. Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Assign and monitor work to achieve production efficiently
  • Direct, train, appraise, develop, and discipline hourly employees as required
  • Assure production meets quality standards and control scrap and rework
  • Enforce plant policies and procedures regarding health and safety and the employee handbook
  • Assist in establishing and setting up equipment for production jobs or for improved processes
  • Report and follow through on tooling needs and equipment maintenance problems
  • Assure compliance with all plant policies and procedures
  • Drive employee communication
  • Comply with current Quality Systems requirements
  • Undertake assigned projects as directed by the Department Manager, Operations Manager, or Plant Manager
  • Perform other duties assigned by management
  • Attend all meetings and training as scheduled
  • Perform other work as assigned by Management, including 5S and departmental Quality audits

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED. Associates or College degree is a bonus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a Manufacturing setting
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting as required
  • Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds
  • General office equipment, PC with various software (Microsoft office 365)
  • Personal protective equipment as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, craw, squat, kneel and climb able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals and lift 40 pounds from floor level, able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms, able to wear respirator and other PPE as required, able to climb stairs. Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. Exposed to lead, fumes, chemicals, operating equipment, and vehicles. This is a full time position, and working at the plant is required.
