Summary of the position: The Senior Operations Manager oversees the efficient functioning of an assigned Hitachi Air Center. As a key member of the management team, the Senior Operations Manager will work with Director of Operations in enforcing business operations across represented locations and departments including Service, Parts, Rentals, Warehousing and Administration. The focus is to continuously review business revenue, margin, and operating costs to drive efficiency, profitability, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.

Duties and responsibilities:High Level Business Objectives:

Lead and coordinate employees across multiple branches, ensuring alignment with company goals and policies. Ensure that all company departments including Sales, Service Operations, Field Service, Parts, Warehouse are performing their required responsibilities according to established procedures. Contribute to strategic plans to achieve business growth and operational objectives. Drive initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs while striving for highest standards. Monitor financial metrics and KPIs to track performance and profitability. Control expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities as well as identify opportunities for revenue growth. Responsibility for Aftermarket performance of the HAC Business, and review P&L on a monthly basis with the leadership team.

Operational Leadership:

Continuous monitoring of business activities through SAP, Ring Central, Salesforce, and other applications. Review financial reports, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed. Monitor and improve process and personnel performance to improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Communicate operational goals, progress, and challenges effectively across the HAC Monitor call answering performance through Ring Central call groups for all represented locations and provide reports to Director of Operations. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, warehouse, field service) to achieve overall company objectives.

Staff Management:

Assist in recruiting, training, and development of employees to build a strong team. Set performance standards and conduct performance reviews for direct reports and ensure direct reports follow through similarly. Motivate and support staff to achieve high levels of performance.

Miscellaneous:

Demonstrate flexibility/teamwork as additional items will be required to help grow the business. Visit remote branches at least once per month. Visit top customers as well as any customers with issues as needed to ensure continued loyalty. Bi‑Weekly meetings with Service and Sales leaders at HACs to review MTD and YTD KPI’s.

Education:

Four‑year degree in business or equivalent related business experience required.

Position Requirements:

Greater than five years operations management experience. Proven leadership experience with strong written and verbal communication. Strong understanding of Microsoft office suite. Experience with ERP systems. In‑depth understanding of P&L reporting and how it relates to driving various aspects of the business.
