Job description

Hello, I'm Anthony Chacon, Recruitment Consultant at FED ManuTech, specializing in engineering, manufacturing and industrial positions.
I'm currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing company operating in a highly regulated environment. Recognized for its operational excellence and continuous improvement culture, the organization is looking for an Operations Manager to play a key leadership role within its manufacturing operations.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, developing people and driving operational performance.

Mission

Your Role :
Reporting directly to the President, you will oversee manufacturing operations and maintenance activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading day-to-day manufacturing and maintenance operations.
Managing a team of approximately 35 employees, including supervisors, team leaders and production personnel.
Maintaining a strong presence on the production floor to support employees and resolve operational issues.
Ensuring production plans are executed efficiently while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Supporting audits, inspections and operational investigations.
Monitoring operational KPIs and implementing improvement initiatives.
Managing daily priorities, resources and operational performance.
Recruiting, coaching and developing operational teams.
Working Conditions :
Salary between $110,000 and $130,000
Day shift (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) with the flexibility expected in an operations leadership role.
3 to 4 weeks of vacation.
Comprehensive benefits package.
Permanent full-time position.
On-site role.

Your profile

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or another relevant discipline (mandatory).
Minimum 5-7 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in a regulated industry. Pharmaceutical GMP experience is a strong asset, while food manufacturing experience will also be considered.
Proven experience leading production teams.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
Hands-on management style with excellent decision-making abilities.
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
ERP experience (SAP is considered an asset).
Fully bilingual (English and French). English is essential as many day-to-day communications are conducted in English.
