PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Support the Energy Department via building, setting, and servicing refined fuel and liquid propane tanks and pumps in addition to delivering refined fuels and lubricants as needed in a manner that is safe, efficient, and timely.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Builds and delivers fuel storage tanks per the salesmen request.

Repairs pumps and tanks at customer locations.

Drives truck to deliver refined fuel to customers' homes or places of business.

Drives truck to deliver lubricants to customers' homes or places of business.

Handles complaints promptly and reports them to your supervisor.

Obtains customer signatures on receipt for pickup or delivery when required.

Completes regular activity reports.

Maintains company equipment according to company standards and performs routine maintenance on the equipment.

Adheres to the uniform policy and maintains the appropriate professional image.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Willingness to help and/or assist other Heritage FS departments (Propane, Agronomy, etc.).

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Preferably have route delivery experience to demonstrate organization and time management skills.

Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.

Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated math skills and the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, etc.

Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid CDL license with Hazmat endorsement, be insurable to operate the required vehicle, and have the ability to travel independently.

Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered "normal".

Frequently exposed to or required to perform work tasks that may include: 

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, mud, snow, ice, wind, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • Conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical, and mechanical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • Lifting 51 - 70 lbs.
  • Pulling /dragging up to 70 lbs for a distance of up to 100 ft
  • Climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
  • May be required to work at varying heights and on platforms
  • Maneuvering barrels or drums of product with a minimum weight of 450 lbs
