Job description

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for efficient and profitable overall operation of the branch. This includes supervising or overseeing areas such as: warehouse, drivers/delivery, inside sales, office/clerical. May also supervise outside sales staff. This individual will support district or branch manager in handling the day-to-day operations.
Primary Duties:

  • Oversee and assist in the directing of branch purchasing. Assist with Job Management activities.
  • Participate in establishing inventory policies and enhancement of the inventory control system to satisfy market demands.
  • Contribute to setting policy on credit and receivables management as well as purchasing and accounts payable.
  • Assist in implementing correct pricing profiles to ensure profitability while maintaining competitiveness in market place.
  • Provide inside sales support and warehouse support as needed.
  • Attend branch/company meetings and events as required. Overnight travel may be necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Efficient use of a PC, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to effectively communicate via email.
  • Have the ability to delegate tasks while running a large project on an as-needed basis.
  • Valid driver's license.

Pay Details:

  • The expected rate of pay for this position is $27.00 to $35.00 hourly.
