Civil Project Manager / Senior Civil Project Manager

At LDC, Inc., you will manage and lead land development projects from design through construction while building strong client relationships and supporting team performance. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality work that reflects our commitment to Service Above the Standard.

For over 23 years, LDC has delivered high-quality civil engineering solutions across the Pacific Northwest. As we continue to grow, we are seeking project managers and senior project managers who take ownership of their work, communicate effectively with clients, and contribute to successful project delivery and company growth.

Position Overview

You are responsible for managing the design and execution of residential and commercial development projects, overseeing project performance, coordinating technical staff, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met. Depending on experience level, you will also lead teams, mentor staff, and contribute to business development and company growth.

Reports to: President or Senior Vice President, with day-to-day oversight from Principal Engineers

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Delivery

  • Manage multiple civil engineering projects from design through construction
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Review and approve monthly invoices and support financial tracking
  • Identify and manage project risks, scope changes, and change orders
  • Support accounts receivable review and collections

Client and Business Development

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong relationships
  • Support or lead business development efforts and identify opportunities for new work
  • Assist with or lead preparation of proposals, SOQs, and contract review
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions

Technical Oversight

  • Oversee civil design efforts, including:
  • Site grading and roadway design
  • Stormwater conveyance and modeling
  • Water and sewer system design
  • TESC system design
  • Support land entitlement and site layout planning
  • Review plans, specifications, and engineer estimates for accuracy and quality

Leadership and Team Development (Senior PM Focus)

  • Lead and oversee design and technical staff across multiple projects
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance leadership to junior engineers and project staff
  • Coordinate resources, staff utilization, and workload forecasting
  • Support hiring efforts, referrals, and onboarding of new employees
  • Contribute to team development and overall operational efficiency

  • Senior Civil Project Manager: 12+ years of experience
  • Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state licensure preferred for senior-level candidates)
  • Private development experience required; public project experience preferred
  • Construction field experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and business development experience expected at the senior level
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits

  • Civil Project Manager: $95,000 – $120,000 annually + performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Senior Civil Project Manager: $125,000 – $150,000 annually + performance-based bonus opportunities
