Join Our Team as Head Concierge!

We are seeking a dependable and professional Head Concierge to join our team at a building with 379 units based in Coquitlam, BC. In this dynamic role, you will provide exceptional customer service, respond to client needs, ensure smooth daily operations, and lead a team of five concierges.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Resident Service: Assist residents with various needs, such as package handling, key management, and information inquiries.

  • Security Oversight: Monitor and control access to the property, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

  • Vendor Coordination: Facilitate communication with service providers and contractors for maintenance or repairs within the property.

  • Event Planning: Organize and coordinate community events or gatherings to foster a sense of community among residents.

  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks, such as managing reservations, maintaining records, and assisting with resident communications.

  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, alerting appropriate authorities and guiding residents in safety protocols.

  • Building Maintenance: Report and coordinate minor maintenance issues and liaise with property management for resolution.

  • Information Resource: Act as a knowledge resource for residents regarding local services, amenities, and community policies.

  • Communication Liaison: Facilitate effective communication between residents, property management, and other relevant parties.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support a team of five concierges to ensure smooth shift operations and high service standards.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility, availability, and the ability to address requests promptly.

  • Proven experience in hospitality, customer service, or related fields.

  • Experience in a leadership role or managing concierge teams is preferred.

  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)

Please note that this is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave. The contract term is 10 months, with the possibility of extension.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday

Starting Date: ASAP

Shift Timings:

  • 8-hour shift

  • Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Salary: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
