Job description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is looking for a Senior Military Operations Planner at Offutt Air Force Base. This position supports United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Joint Exercises, Training, and Assessment Directorate (J7) in the planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of strategic-level joint exercises and training events supporting strategic deterrence and global operations missions.

This position will provide senior-level military operational planning expertise supporting strategic deterrence, joint exercise operations, campaign planning, and operational execution activities. This role supports the development and synchronization of operational plans, strategic exercise scenarios, battle staff activities, and operational integration efforts supporting Combatant Command mission requirements.
What you'll be doing:
  • Support planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of strategic-level joint exercises and operational planning activities.
  • Provide senior-level expertise in military operations planning, operational synchronization, and strategic mission execution.
  • Support development of operational plans, exercise scenarios, mission execution products, and operational timelines.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership, operational planners, battle staffs, and mission partners to support exercise objectives and operational readiness.
  • Support operational integration across Combatant Command, Joint Staff, service, and MAJCOM-level organizations.
  • Assist with operational assessments, strategic planning efforts, and exercise execution activities.
  • Support planning conferences, rehearsals, after-action reviews, and lessons learned activities.
  • Provide operational expertise supporting strategic deterrence and global operations mission requirements.
What you'll need:
  • Minimum of 15 years of practical Department of Defense military operations experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, service headquarters, MAJCOM, or equivalent operational organizations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an operations planner.
  • Operations center experience required.
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase II graduate required.
  • Senior Service School graduate required.
  • Master’s degree or higher required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational planning, strategic mission integration, and joint exercise execution.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and operational planning skills.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
