Graduate Assistant – Admissions
Department: Admissions Department
Location: Columbia, MO
Type: Staff, Part-time
Pay: $16 - $16 per hour (Pay range may vary based on geographic location)

The Admissions Graduate Assistant will provide overall support with the day-to-day operations of the Columbia College Admissions Office.

Job Summary:
The Admissions Graduate Assistant will provide overall support with the day-to-day operations of the Columbia College Admissions Office.
Other Considerations:
  • Perform job duties per Columbia College’s vision, mission, and values and contribute to the Division of Enrollment Management and Marketing.
  • Practice superior customer service.
  • Display respect and civility to all constituencies in all communications.
  • Attend work on a timely and regular basis during the established hours of operation; work additional hours as business necessitates.
  • Work the Admissions Office front desk by answering incoming calls and greeting, assisting, and directing students, staff, vendors, and visitors as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Events Operations Manager, and other staff in the day-to-day operations of the Admissions office
  • Assist with Event planning, set-up, tear-down, and general operation as needed
  • Assist in giving campus tours to prospective students and visitors to campus
  • Assist in recruitment of new students to Columbia College by giving tours, working events, doing outreach by phone, text and email
  • May require some weekend and evenings
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must be accepted into the Graduate Program at Columbia College.
  • Experience as an athlete
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a college environment
