Industrial Operations Intern/Co-op 

Position Summary
The Industrial Operations Intern supports daily operational activities and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or production environment. This role provides hands-on experience in operations management, process optimization, data analysis, quality assurance, and project coordination while working closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams.

What you'll do: 

  • Assist in monitoring and improving operational processes and workflows. 
  • Collect, analyze, and report operational performance data. 
  • Support production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities. 
  • Help identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvement opportunities. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction. 
  • Assist with inventory tracking, materials management, and supply chain operations. 
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for operational metrics and KPIs. 
  • Conduct process observations, audits, and documentation updates. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals and project execution. 
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, operations management, supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, business, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity software. 
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

Preferred Characteristics: 

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles. 
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, or visualization tools.
