Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, analytically driven, and execution-focused Director, Sales Operations to lead and scale the operational pillars of our sales organization. This role is critical in supporting our rapid growth and ensuring our field teams are equipped, informed, and empowered to deliver exceptional performance. This role will report to the Group Vice President, Commercial Operations and act as a senior member of the Commercial Operations team, partnering closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, Compliance, Patient Services, Finance, and IT to drive strategic decision-making and ensure flawless execution across the commercial ecosystem. You will oversee the processes, insights, and operational rigor that enable the successful commercialization of ARCALYST and future therapies. This position is based in our Lexington, MA office and follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one day remote.

This role is based in our Lexington, MA office and requires employees to be onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Lead the strategy, design, modeling, and administration of the field IC program.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to ensure IC plans are competitive, equitable, motivating, and aligned to brand and corporate goals.
  • Deliver timely and accurate IC reporting, payout calculations, and field communications to maintain trust and transparency.
  • Own the development, maintenance, and optimization of sales force structure, territory alignments, and targeting strategies.
  • Leverage analytics, segmentation, and forecasting to inform sizing decisions and ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
  • Oversee fleet strategy, vendor management, policy development, training, and operational execution for all field vehicles.
  • Evaluate opportunities for cost efficiency, improved user experience, and enhanced scalability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Sales, providing data-driven recommendations that influence strategy and execution.
  • Partner with other members of the Commercial Operations team to ensure seamless onboarding, training, and support for field teams across all systems, reports, and tools.
  • Deliver high-quality operational processes and reports that support roster management, field credentialling, and access to data and insights.

  • Requires a BA or BS (MS or MBA preferred) with 8+ years of relevant sales effectiveness / sales force automation experience; Pharmaceutical/Biotech or Lifesciences experience required
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Experience with implementing field CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Veeva, IQVIA OCE)
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills--able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations
  • Strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards
  • Requires travel ~10% of time
