The Managing Director serves as a trusted strategic partner to Tarisio's Directors and leadership, with oversight for key departments, including Finance. Working across Tarisio's global offices, the role helps shape priorities, lead important initiatives, and translate long-term vision into action by bringing teams and functions together around shared goals. A significant part of the role is providing leadership and direction to Tarisio's people, developing key leaders, and creating an environment where employees take ownership, work collaboratively, and follow through on commitments. The Managing Director also ensures the company has the structures and processes needed to support continued growth, identifying opportunities to strengthen how the business operates, introducing new approaches where needed, and leading meaningful improvements through implementation. Equally important is preserving the energy, character, and commitment to excellence that make Tarisio unique.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the escalation point and provide leadership and oversight for key departments, managing, supporting, and developing employees at every level.
  • Translate Tarisio's long-term vision and strategic priorities into clear direction, actionable plans, and meaningful organizational outcomes.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to strengthen and grow the business while creating long-term value.
  • Evaluate and lead the improvement of organizational structures, systems, and processes, identifying where change is needed and carrying new approaches through successful implementation.
  • Bring people, teams, and priorities together across Tarisio's global offices, strengthening communication and collaboration while building alignment around shared goals.
  • Set clear expectations and priorities, establish accountability, remove barriers, and ensure commitments are carried through and results are delivered.
  • Champion Tarisio's mission and values while reinforcing the brand, reputation, and public perception that distinguish the company, fostering an exceptional experience for clients, consignors, partners, and employees.
  • Pursue, develop, and maintain relationships with clients, consignors, partners, and industry peers while representing Tarisio.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned and thoughtful leader with proven experience strengthening organizations, developing high-performing teams, navigating change, and building and refining the structures needed to support long-term success. They bring sound judgment, perspective, and the decisive confidence to navigate complexity while helping others make informed decisions. Confident and self-directed, they are comfortable taking ownership and working independently while recognizing when to collaborate, empower others, or roll up their sleeves to help move the organization forward. Naturally curious and forward-thinking, they identify new ideas and opportunities that improve the way work gets done and help Tarisio continue to evolve. Above all, they are thoughtful stewards of Tarisio's culture, relationships, and reputation, motivated by the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the company's future.
