Operations Director Jobs in New Port Richey, FL (NOW HIRING)

Coke Florida is looking for a Director, Fleet Operations based out of our Tampa location. 

What You Will Do:

The Fleet Operations Director leads the safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective execution of Coke Florida’s statewide fleet operations. As an enterprise Fleet leader, this role owns the consistent execution, adoption, and sustained performance of approved Fleet operating standards, processes, systems, compliance controls, workforce capabilities, and continuous-improvement priorities across all locations. Working within the Fleet strategy, governance, and financial direction established by the Senior Director, the Director leads multi-site maintenance and shop operations, develops leaders and technical talent, builds a workplace culture centered on safety, respect, inclusion, collaboration, service, and accountability, and partners across functions to translate approved Fleet priorities into equipment readiness and sustained operating results.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise-wide execution of approved Fleet strategies, policies, standards, and operating requirements across all locations.

• Direct statewide fleet maintenance and shop operations to deliver safe, compliant, reliable, and route-ready equipment.

• Establish and govern standard work for preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, quality control, parts management, and equipment release-to-service, consistent with approved Fleet direction.

• Define operating KPIs, scorecards, review cadences, and corrective-action expectations; own results for availability, PM compliance, downtime, repeat repairs, productivity, maintenance cost, parts readiness, and vendor service.

• Build a high-performing Fleet organization by selecting, coaching, and developing leaders and technicians; strengthening training and certification paths; and supporting succession and workforce planning.

• Foster a positive workplace culture grounded in safety, respect, inclusion, collaboration, open communication, accountability, employee engagement, and recognition.

• Partner with Distribution Operations and local leadership to align maintenance schedules, asset availability, spare coverage, and shop priorities with business and customer needs.

• Implement and monitor enterprise compliance controls, SOPs, audits, exception management, and corrective actions for DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, environmental, DVIR, inspection, licensing, recordkeeping, and company requirements.

• Govern the consistent use of fleet systems, telematics, reporting processes, and data standards to improve visibility, data quality, reliability, and operating decisions.

• Manage approved operating budgets, forecasts, repair and rental decisions, parts expense, vendor performance, warranty recovery, and cost-control initiatives; escalate material risks and funding needs.

• Recommend equipment specifications, utilization standards, deployment, transfers, replacement priorities, and end-of-life actions, and lead execution following approval.

• Communicate operating results, risks, resource needs, recovery plans, and recommendations to the Senior Director, senior leadership, and cross-functional partners.

For this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, Fleet Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in fleet operations, maintenance, transportation, logistics, or another asset-intensive operation, including significant multi-site leadership responsibility.

• Demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed maintenance teams, shop operations, and frontline leaders in a high-volume environment.

• Proven people leader who builds trust, develops talent, engages employees, manages change, and creates an inclusive, accountable, and performance-oriented workplace culture.

• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, shop workflow, repair quality, parts controls, equipment readiness, vendor management, and fleet asset lifecycle practices.

• Experience establishing operating standards, KPIs, audits, and corrective-action processes that improve safety, reliability, productivity, service, and cost.

• Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, environmental, DVIR, inspection, and fleet recordkeeping requirements.

• Experience managing operating budgets, forecasts, vendors, repair authorization, warranty recovery, and cost-control initiatives.

• Proficiency with fleet maintenance systems, telematics, SAP, Geotab, reporting tools, and data-driven performance management.

• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to translate operating data into clear actions and executive recommendations.

• ASE Medium/Heavy Truck, Certified Automotive Fleet Manager, OEM, Lean, or comparable technical or operational certifications preferred

• Moderate travel is required to support fleet shops and operating locations across the state.
• Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines*

  *Major moving violations include, but are not limited to, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and reckless driving. Minor moving violations include, but are not limited to, speeding, driving too close, failure to stop, and improper lane changes. Driving records, including minor moving violations, will be evaluated according to Coke Florida guidelines to determine eligibility for the position.
