About the Role

As FIS Director of Operations you will be responsible for leading a large team, solving complex operational challenges, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently and at a high standard. You’ll serve as the critical link between planning and execution—setting expectations, holding teams accountable, and making decisions that move the business forward.
You’re expected to lead from the front, not wait for direction.
Core Responsibilities

  • Lead all General Managers and operational team members in the field
  • Monitor workroom readiness, staffing, schedule integrity, customer communication, and installer support
  • Drive accountability through scorecards, inspections, reports, and direct field follow-through
  • Identify operational breakdowns early and create corrective action plans
Serve as the direct operational voice to the President on field conditions, risks, and performance needs
What You’ll Do

  • Take full ownership of operations and team performance
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable a high-volume installation team
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement immediate and long-term solutions
  • Develop and execute action plans across multiple departments
  • Resolve complex customer and operational challenges with confidence
  • Establish structure, improve workflows, and drive consistency
  • Monitor performance metrics and align operations with revenue goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and teamwork
What You Bring

  • 5+ years of operations or management experience (construction or installation environments strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to step into leadership roles and produce results quickly
  • Strong decision-making skills and the confidence to act without constant oversight
  • Experience managing teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Solid understanding of performance metrics, forecasting, and operational efficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Availability for rotating Saturday mornings
  • Ability to pass a background check
Forklift certification is a plus—we’ll provide training if needed.

What We Offer

  • Company vehicle and company-issued phone
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with up to 6% company match
  • Paid time off that increases with tenure
  • Stable, growing company with long-term opportunity
Who Succeeds Here

This role is best suited for someone who:
  • Takes initiative without being asked
  • Is comfortable making decisions and owning the outcome
  • Brings structure to fast-moving environments
  • Leads with confidence, clarity, and accountability
