Job description

Job Title: Operations Coordinator
Location: Mobile, AL
Pay: $24/hr
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented Field Operations Coordinator to support workforce programs across multiple locations. This position will split time between working directly at client/shipyard sites and supporting operations from our local branch office the remainder of the week.
This is a hands-on role that requires regular interaction with employees, candidates, clients, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in both field and office environments, can adjust their schedule and work location based on operational needs, and thrives in a fast-paced staffing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site field support at client and shipyard locations approximately 2-3 days per week
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and candidates while working at client sites
  • Coordinate candidate onboarding, scheduling, check-ins, and ongoing communication
  • Assist with employee orientations, first-day coordination, and workforce logistics
  • Support walk-in candidates and employees at both client sites and the branch office
  • Assist with documentation, compliance requirements, and other administrative needs
  • Help address employee questions and escalate workforce or client concerns when appropriate
  • Maintain consistent communication with Recruiting and Operations teams regarding employee and client needs
  • Support daily branch operations and administrative responsibilities when not working at client sites
  • Travel between the branch and assigned client locations based on business needs
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
  • Comfortable interacting directly with employees, candidates, and clients
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the internal team
  • Comfortable working in both professional office and active shipyard/industrial environments
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between the branch office and local client sites
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in staffing, field operations, workforce coordination, or a similar role
  • Familiarity with shipyard, manufacturing, industrial, or skilled-trades environments
  • Familiarity with vendor management systems (VMS/MSP)
  • Experience with onboarding, employee relations, or workforce compliance
Safety & Environmental Factors:

This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
