Job description

Business Operations Coordinator


Rebellyous Foods is a leading, plant-based meat start-up working to make our products available and affordable for everyone by revolutionizing the production of plant-based meats. We are looking for a full time Business Operations Coordinator who can manage and organize office operations and procedures. Duties include scheduling, supporting all departments with a wide variety of tasks and projects with varying levels of difficulty, and independent problem solving. This position requires considerable coordination with other team members and outside notables. We are a team of 10 and work very closely together. We are looking for a mission-focused individual who is excited to work collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Business Officer.


Responsibilities:

  • Company calendar management.
  • Coordinate logistics and travel arrangements for conferences and speaking engagements.
  • Set up agendas for regular and ad hoc team meetings, take meeting minutes, and follow-up on key tasks when necessary.
  • Research projects related to the industry of plant-based and animal-based meat to support critical decision making with respect to funding, policy, strategy, and more.
  • Drafting emails, SOPs, and other correspondence, when necessary.
  • Create and track confidentiality agreements and other formal documents using Adobe Sign.
  • Request and manage expiration of insurance information, NDAs, run credit checks and procure other documents.
  • Maintain, monitor and update a variety of databases, documents, certifications etc.
  • HR duties such as scheduling, correspondence, document and computer preparation, and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist the Controller with various financial tasks such as collections, data entry, filing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist the sales team with trade show event coordination, order and track marketing collateral, send samples, update target lists and CRM, monitor incoming company web inquiries.
  • Monitor daily schedules and vacation tracking for all staff.
  • Order office supplies, open, sort, scan, file, and distribute mail.
  • Run company errands as necessary. (mileage paid for)
  • Assist with facilities requests such as replacing soap in the breakroom, routine maintenance checks, landlord requests, or getting the door for deliveries, etc.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Qualifications: Candidates should have all of the following credentials:

  • 2+ years experience as an executive assistant, office manager, or the like.
  • Proficiency in all standard G-Suite applications.
  • Highly organized and independent approach to follow-up tasks. Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem solving skills.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, demanding food production, startup environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to take on new tasks to support the CEO and team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ensure confidentiality related to sensitive company and/or employee information.
  • Exceptional experience completing tasks to a high standard of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • A passion to make the plant-based meat industry succeed.


Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds. Ability to travel by all means of transportation.


Location: This is a fully in-person position, located in Tukwila. Applicants seeking to work remotely are not being considered at this time.


Salary & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $32 - $36/hr depending on experience. Medical, dental, vision benefits offered, as well as paid time off and company holidays.
