Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the overall organization of uniforms and equipment for Colorado Rapids 1st Team, Rapids 2 amp; Academy teams.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Assist Equipment Manager in maintenance of accurate inventory of all club training gear, competition gear and field equipment
  • Assist the Equipment Manager in daily tasks including issuing, retrieving, laundering and maintaining training gear, competition gear and field equipment.
  • Assist in the daily field setup for training and competition.
  • Assist in the packing and preparation for all team travel.
  • Support across Rapids 1st Team, Rapids 2 amp; Academy equipment amp; training needs.
Other Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Travel as required
  • Assist Director of Operations with other duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements/Skills
  • Knowledge of professional sports team operations, public relations, and/or sponsor relations is preferred.
  • Organizational and personnel management.
  • Individual must demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and exhibit proper ethical behavior.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Must possess the ability to adapt to unpredictable circumstances and handle a highly demanding work environment
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task effectively.

  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
Education/Experience
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Minimum 3+ years experience within sports administration/operations.
  • Previous experience with high school, collegiate or professional soccer team is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint amp; Teams
  • Degree from accredited university in a physical education, natural science or sport management field preferred.
Compensation
  • Base hourly range $19.29 per hour

Working Conditions amp; Physical Demands
Outdoor and office work environment. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and stretching. Regular lifting of files or field equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl up to 2/3 of time. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility enough to travel. Moderate to loud noise and varying weather conditions.
