Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Coach to join our Alternative Investments team at Ameriprise! In this role, you will provide guidance, coaching, and indirect leadership to peers on operational processes, policies, and techniques related to transaction requests and inquiries from advisors, clients, and business partners. You will research and respond to complex issues, resolving problems as needed. Additionally, you will support quality management processes and serve as a subject matter expert for various business-driven initiatives. This role ensures that all transactions are processed in accordance with industry regulations and internal compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, resolve, and respond to advanced issues regarding more sophisticated transaction and inquiry requests.
  • Provide explanations of policies, resolutions, and steps to advisors, clients, and relationship partners.
  • Mentor peers on processes, procedures, and issue resolution.
  • Provide indirect leadership in training less-experienced peers in new systems and processes. Conduct training as needed.
  • Complete day-to-day operations processing tasks, such as auditing, processing transactions, and approving reissued and rewritten transactions, as well as performing frontline underwriting, where appropriate.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school or GED.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • *Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight timeframes and deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and resolve issues, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships and influence others without having direct leadership accountability.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Alternative Investments.
  • Financial services industry experience.
  • Experience with Ameriprise customer policies and procedures.

In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $24.42 - $33.61 / hour. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
