Job description

SUMMARY 

At Magnolia, the Retail Stock Associate is responsible for managing the accurate and efficient flow of products for all Magnolia retail stores on Silos grounds. This includes the unloading of deliveries, receipt of products, organization of back of house, replenishment of product, regular cycle counts, and removal of damaged or defective items. This position works from the Magnolia Silos Grounds in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Store Operations Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for receipt of items (both inventory and supply pieces), such as unloading the delivery truck, receipt in inventory system, quality inspection, and putaway to storage 
  • Learn and use all available technology to perform daily tasks, including operation of RF-SMART devices and performing transactions within the inventory management system  
  • Consistently achieve and exceed established key performance indicators* 
  • Maintain accurate inventory by performing proper transactions (cycle counts, item receipts, bin transfers, and item fulfillments) and following assigned standard operating procedures* 
  • Prepare all outgoing transfer order requests including fulfilling orders, picking items, and building pallets using proper stacking techniques and pallet wrap to ensure safety in transit  
  • Verify and apply product tags and carton labels according to customer expectations, and update tags for any changes to a product's UPC, name, or retail sales price  
  • Replenish items to all sales floors at the Silos Grounds and maintain healthy stock levels based on sales, storage space, and visual expectations*  
  • Collect defective and damaged products from sales floor and ensure timely removal from available inventory  
  • Support loss prevention measures company-wide  
  • Work as a team player to ensure guests receive the best experience* 
  • Promote and maintain a safe working and shopping environment*  
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred 
  • 0-1 years of related work experience preferred 
  • 1 year of warehouse or stockroom experience preferred 
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, special events, and holidays 
  • All full-time and part-time employees must be available to open and close twice a week 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell.The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.The employee is expected to utilize team lifting techniques when lifting bulky items or items weighing above 50 pounds and up to 120 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
