Brown & Brown is seeking an Insurance Assistant for our team in Marlton, NJ!
The Insurance Assistant supports the service team in delivering exceptional client service by providing technical and administrative assistance across daily operations. This role handles policy processing, billing, certificates, and compliance tasks while assisting with renewals and documentation. The Technical Assistant builds strong relationships with teammates, carriers, and vendors to enhance client retention, ensures accuracy and adherence to agency guidelines, and contributes to a collaborative, positive team environment.
How You Will Contribute:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks including but not limited to policy checking, customer billing, and processing policies/endorsements, invoicing, issuance of certificates of insurance, and auto ID cards.
  • Build courteous and successful relationships with team, vendors and carriers to improve client retention.
  • Assist in the review of internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, policies, endorsements and certificates to ensure alignment with client expectations legal requirements and insurance operations.
  • Assist in the renewal process for all assigned clients as directed; including ordering updated loss information, obtaining updated information, documenting renewal applications, and preparing pre-renewal packers and binders.
  • Record renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance documents into the agency management database, as directed.
  • Follow agency guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
  • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Obtain Property and Casualty Insurance Producer license (within 1 year)
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
  • College Degree in a business-related field (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
  • Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
  • 1+ year work experience
Pay Range
$23.50 - $24.50 Hourly
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
