The opportunity

Hamrick Packaging Systems is looking for an organized, resourceful, and adaptable coordinator who enjoys variety and wants to make a visible impact across the business. This role combines business operations, customer experience, sales support, and hands-on marketing in a company that designs and builds custom automated packaging machinery.

You will help keep information, customer activities, and internal requests moving to the right people; support several departments; and help present our machines to customers and the marketplace. It is an excellent opportunity to learn how projects move through Hamrick, build broad business experience, and gradually take on greater ownership.

A role that can grow with you
You do not need to know every Hamrick process on day one. Training, reference materials, and ongoing support will be provided as you learn our systems, products, and workflows.

What you will do

Business operations & cross-functional support

  • Coordinate administrative activities and maintain accurate service, customer, sales, accounting-support, and tax-exemption records.
  • After training, provide backup support for parts orders, order entry, machine-sales administration, Engineering Change Notices, work-order routers, and related documentation.
  • Support customer machine manuals and the release and distribution of parts information and drawings to Engineering, Production, and the Stockroom.
  • Maintain organized files and correspondence, coordinate office materials, and assist leaders with special projects as needed.

Customer experience & office coordination - (Critical to being successful in this role)

  • Create a professional and welcoming experience for customers, vendors, and visitors in person and by telephone.
  • Route calls, document service requests, receive mail and packages, and ensure information reaches the appropriate person promptly.
  • Prepare customer-facing spaces and coordinate welcome displays, refreshments, schedules, lunches, and other arrangements for visits, meetings, factory acceptance tests, and company events.

What will help you succeed

  • You are highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple priorities with consistent follow-through.
  • You communicate professionally and warmly with customers, visitors, coworkers, and outside partners.
  • You take initiative, ask good questions, and work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • You adapt to changing priorities, use sound judgment, and are comfortable learning new systems and digital tools.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to learn company software, databases, marketing platforms, and internal processes. Training, reference materials, and ongoing support will be provided.
  • Ability to work on-site and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Helpful, but not required:

  • Experience in a related business-support role and familiarity with CRM, contact databases, or creative and marketing tools are helpful.
