Job description

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its HR Operations Assistant (Part-Time) position in the Huan Resources Division.  This position is located on Atlanta Technical College's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

The Human Resources Operations Assistant is a part-time position, located at Atlanta Technical College's main campus. This position is responsible for providing support and performing various human resources functions, at Atlanta Technical College.  This position reports directly to the HR Director in the Human Resources Department

 Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

        Assists with the preparation and processing of new hire paperwork and onboarding documentation.

        Reviews new hire packets for completeness and accuracy.

        Ensures required forms are collected, verified, and properly documented.

        Assists with reference checks and employment verifications as needed.

        Tracks onboarding progress and follows up with hiring managers and new employees regarding outstanding documentation.

        Maintains organized onboarding files (electronic and physical, as applicable).

        Assists in maintaining compliance with E-Verify and related documentation requirements.

        Assists in preparing and processing separation paperwork.

        Ensures termination documentation is complete and properly filed.

        Assists with exit checklist documentation and related administrative follow-up.

        Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR files.

        Conducts periodic audits to ensure required documentation is properly collected and maintained.

        Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of employee records.

        Enters data into HR systems and databases as required.

        Assists with scanning, organizing, and securely storing HR documentation.

        Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate the following:

       High school diploma or GED.

       One (1) year of office, clerical, or administrative experience.

       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

       Strong organizational and time management skills.

       High attention to detail.

       Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

       Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.   

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate the following:

       Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

       One (1) or more years of experience in Human Resources or onboarding/administrative support functions.

       Experience with employment documentation, onboarding systems, or HRIS platforms.

Physical Requirements:

        Some lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required in this position.
