Job description

ABOUT ANCIENT CRUNCH
Ancient Crunch Inc. is a food manufacturing company based in Hackettstown, NJ. We make products we're proud of and run an operation that's always moving. We're a tight-knit team that takes quality seriously - and yes, the snacks are always around!
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an Operations Assistant who's ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved across the business. This is a broad, generalist role - you'll touch quality, production support, documentation, coordination, and whatever else needs to get done that day.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate who wants real operational experience. You'll learn how a food manufacturing business runs from the inside, work closely with the Operations team, and have the potential to grow into more responsibility as the days go on.
No two days look the same. If you're adaptable, detail-oriented, and take ownership of your work, you'll fit right in.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Your responsibilities will vary day to day, but may include:
  • Supporting quality control processes - recording and organizing test results, maintaining documentation, and helping ensure products and procedures meet our standards
  • Assisting with lab work and production-side tasks as needed
  • Handling administrative work including data entry, filing, updating shared records, and keeping internal systems current
  • Coordinating with team members to track priorities, follow up on tasks, and keep daily operations running smoothly
  • Pitching in on special projects, process improvements, and whatever operational needs come up

We're a growing company, so this list will evolve. We want someone who sees that as exciting!
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We care more about how you work than what your exact background is. That said, here's what will set you up for success:
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Organized, proactive, and willing to take ownership
  • Good communication and follow-through skills
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
  • Adaptable and dependable in a fast-moving environment
  • Interest in operations, food, manufacturing, or science a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to commute to Hackettstown, NJ
  • A Note on Education: A bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field is preferred for this role - such as engineering, materials science, food science, chemistry, biology, or supply chain management. Candidates with equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance
  • Real opportunities for growth in operations
  • A health and wellness-focused culture
  • All the chips you can eat!
