First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Loan Operations Specialist at the Corporate Office located in El Dorado, Arkansas.
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Senior Vice President of Loans and the processing of loan documentation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPLEXITY: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, Small Business Administration, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and volume.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Process Loan request for Lending Divisions in the Loan Operating System. Work with FFB loan assistants and loan officers with questions and troubleshooting. Knowledgeable of FFB lending policies and procedures, SBA and FSA regulations. Work with Investors regarding Concurrence. Handle written and oral correspondence with customers. Answer telephone and written inquiries concerning loans and related information. Prepare reports as assigned. Cross train as back up in other areas of the department. Cross train in other Loan Operations areas. Assist Senior Vice President Loan Operations as needed. Assist with other special projects for management. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Position requires individual who has excellent customer communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills. Also requires an individual who has excellent organization skills, who pays close attention to detail, can work well under pressure and think strategically. Must be self-motivated and be able to work well with others. Requires strong computer background in MS Excel and Word.
