JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Sr. VP/Chief Operating Officer, the employee will analyze the performance of Doyon's operating companies and make and implement recommendations regarding operational performance. The employee will be a key member of Doyon, Limited's business development team and will assist with company acquisitions, including structuring and managing due diligence and integration programs. The employee will be instrumental in overseeing Doyon's for-profit businesses and partnerships housed within Doyon, Limited.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepare and analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine company and subsidiary progress toward stated goals and objectives
  • Confer with COO, CFO and subsidiary General Managers to review key performance indicators, and ensure operations are in alignment with strategic objectives and implement resulting tactical objectives. (i.e., establish, monitor, maintain, and evaluate)
  • Participate in strategic planning of Doyon Family of Companies ("DFOC") operational activities to develop and implement long range goals and objectives to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the companies
  • Participate in business development efforts focused on identifying and pursuing new opportunities, at both Doyon, Limited and affiliated companies
  • Follow up and track implementation and performance of projects
  • Research and provide analysis of the industries that Doyon is actively involved in or interested in pursuing
  • Assist in the development of annual and long-term operational plans and budgets; monitors financial variances and responds timely to changes
  • Assist with the planning and facilitation of the quarterly General Managers meetings
  • Orchestrate intra-company projects (i.e., logistics and communication, management of North Slope property)
  • Adhere to company and subsidiary confidentiality policies
  • Foster a collaborative environment with Operations department and company subsidiaries
  • Develop, create and present various presentations per Sr. VP/COO
  • Travel required
  • Knowledge of Alaska Native culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 15 years management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Two years or more experience working with a company impacted by ANCSA related issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MBA or financial analysis experience
  • General Management experience
