Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Maintenance Manager in Tyler, Texas. The Maintenance Manager leads plant maintenance execution to ensure safe, responsive, and effective support of manufacturing operations across all shifts. This role is accountable for maintenance supervision, planning, execution discipline, workforce effectiveness, controls support, tool room support, and achievement of plant uptime objectives. The role also retains overall accountability for the plant's externally managed spare parts crib relationship, including supplier performance, service expectations, and escalation of inventory support issues.
Responsibilities:
• Lead maintenance operations across all supported shifts through direct-report supervisors.
• Maintains overall management accountability for the plant's external spare parts crib supplier relationship.
• Ensure timely execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
• Drive improvement in preventive maintenance, schedule compliance, and maintenance responsiveness.
• Coordinate maintenance staffing, priorities, and escalation processes.
• Partner with Technical Engineering to improve repeat failure elimination and maintenance effectiveness.
• Manage maintenance budget, service support, and resource utilization.
• Promote safe work practices, compliance, and technical skill development across the maintenance organization.
• Improve maintenance systems, work quality, and communication with Operations and Engineering.
• Own the plant relationship and performance expectations for the externally managed spare parts crib supplier.
• Establish service level expectations for parts availability, inventory support, critical spare readiness, and outage/shutdown support.
• Review supplier performance related to fill rates, stock accuracy, responsiveness, and support of maintenance execution.
• Escalate and resolve supplier performance, commercial, or service issues beyond normal day-to-day planning coordination.
• Ensure storeroom/vendor support strategy aligns with maintenance and plant reliability objectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Prior maintenance leadership experience required.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Experience working with MRO suppliers, vendor-managed inventory, or spare parts support models preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, planning, troubleshooting, and execution management.
• Leadership skills in a shift-based production environment.
• Ability to manage urgent issues while improving long-term maintenance discipline.
• Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems, PM programs, and maintenance metrics.
• Understanding of spare parts strategy, critical spares management, and supplier performance expectations.
