Job Description
As a Senior Logistics Manager here at Honeywell, you will optimize logistics transportation and warehouse operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products and materials to our customers and deliver year-over-year productivity for our Process Technology (PT) business group. You will play a critical role in leading and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of transformation and continuous improvement initiatives and strategies to deliver world class service and competitive superiority through logistics excellence.
In this role, you will flourish in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where success is rewarded. You will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations, ensure timely delivery of products and customer satisfaction and contribute to the growth of our PT business group.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter and detailed and data oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams and projects through implementation and possess a demonstrated track record of achieving results and operational excellence. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a highly matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization, influence, and gain commitment
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive carrier on-time pick-up and delivery performance improvement and milestone and proof of delivery compliance across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  • Drive on-time Post Goods Issue (PGI) execution across 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider and site manufacturing warehouses in North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  • Build delivery service and on-time PGI improvement roadmaps and drive implementation.
  • Lead transportation mode transit time and warehouse pick, pack, ship analyses and updates in SAP across all Regions.
  • Lead Management Operating System with Regional Logistics Leaders, Site Logistics Leaders, 4PL, and 3PL's. Identify on-time carrier service and PGI defects, root causes, trends, and solutions and drive sustainable improvements to achieve performance goals.
  • Identify and execute transportation and warehouse cost out productivity projects to deliver year-over-year savings.
  • Drive breakthrough process improvements in transportation and warehousing to optimize logistics costs and delivery service. Optimize Order-to-Cash process flows to increase efficiency - reduce complexity, manual work, and costs, accelerate cash realization and decision making, and improve customer service.
  • Manage strategic direction on projects, lead transformational change and continuous improvement programs, and drive process excellence, innovation, integration, and implementation of technology solutions / automation.
  • Develop logistics strategies and strategic initiatives roadmaps and drive implementation
  • Drive carrier route guide compliance and primary carrier acceptance across all truck and air transportation modes.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation, logistics operations or supply chain management for a manufacturing shipper
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles
  • Expertise in using SAP (transportation and warehouse management), TMS (Transportation Management System), and data analytics platforms to drive decision-making

  • Excellent business acumen
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced and global complex, multi-cultural, and matrix environment
  • Experience with value stream mapping
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience applying Lean methodology and tools
  • Prior experience improving on-time transportation delivery service and PGI performance
  • Transportation management experience with emphasis on Full Truckload, Less-than-Truckload, and Ocean transportation modes
  • PMP certified
  • Experience in Chemical industry

COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this position is <$150,000 - $224,000>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
