Job description


Arobas Personnel is currently seeking a Logistics Manager for a permanent position with one of our clients based in Montreal.

We are looking for a reliable and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee both inbound and outbound operations. In this role, you will ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods from origin to international clients (FOB shipments) as well as to our 3PL warehouse (landed accounts).

Your mission: manage the full order lifecycle while driving operational efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Plan and monitor inbound shipments from overseas to the 3PL warehouse
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure proper documentation and smooth customs clearance
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations (inbound and outbound)
  • Optimize and manage the complete order cycle with the logistics team
  • Resolve issues proactively with 3PL warehouses, carriers, and customers
  • Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team
  • Respond immediately to operational challenges and complaints
  • Support ASN creation, packing slips, and order processing within EDI and ERP systems
  • Act as a key liaison between warehouses, customers, and internal teams
  • Monitor inventory levels and generate reports as needed
  • Ensure compliance with customer routing and shipping requirements
  • Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates
  • Manage chargebacks and oversee claims processes
  • Support the VP of Operations in achieving cost, productivity, accuracy, and delivery targets

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar logistics leadership role
  • Proven track record in distribution and logistics management
  • Strong proficiency with EDI and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
  • In-depth knowledge of the wholesale industry
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management
  • Collaborative team player with leadership capabilities
  • Based in Montreal (preferred) with flexibility to travel internationally (Asia, and global sourcing regions)
