REGIONAL OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS MANAGER (HYBRID)
SOUTHEASTERN, US

Summary:  The Regional Operations & Logistics Manager is accountable for the organization’s logistics function and provides direct oversight to an assigned group of warehouse operations. The role sets transportation strategy, manages carrier relationships and freight agreements, and optimizes how product moves across the network — with the central objective of meeting delivery commitments while controlling total freight spend.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Transportation strategy — Define and execute the network’s transportation strategy across modes and lanes.
• Carrier relations management — Own carrier relationships, including selection, negotiation, and ongoing performance management.
• Freight contract management — Manage freight contracts and rate agreements to secure favorable terms and service levels.
• Parcel programs — Administer parcel programs, balancing cost and service across carriers.
• Routing optimization — Optimize routing to improve transit efficiency and reduce cost.
• Freight spend management — Own total freight spend, driving cost efficiency across all movement.
• Delivery performance — Ensure delivery commitments are met across the network.

Secondary Responsibilities
• Branch operational performance — Drive the operational performance of the warehouse operations under this role’s purview.
• Shipping process standardization — Standardize shipping processes so practices are consistent across locations.
• Claims management — Manage freight claims, including filing, resolution, and root-cause reduction.
• Carrier scorecards — Maintain carrier scorecards to track and govern carrier performance.
• Logistics reporting — Maintain reporting on logistics performance, freight spend, and delivery metrics.

• Field-First Leadership – This is a high-mobility role designed for a hands-on operations and logistics professional. You will divide your time between driving strategic logistics initiatives, supporting regional operations, and maintaining a healthy presence within the operations under your responsibility.
---Transportation & Carrier Strategy: Own the organization's transportation and logistics strategy, including carrier sourcing, contract negotiations, service performance, network design, freight budgeting, and transportation-related KPIs. Directly manage carrier relationships to ensure reliable, cost-effective service across all operating regions.
---Logistics Optimization: Continuously evaluate transportation networks, distribution processes, and logistics workflows to identify improvement opportunities, reduce inefficiencies, enhance service levels, and support scalable organizational growth.
---Freight Cost & Margin Management: Analyze freight spend, pricing structures, carrier rates, logistics markups, and transportation-related margins to drive profitability while meeting customer expectations and evolving business requirements.
• Travel Requirements – Regular travel is expected throughout the assigned region and broader company network. The Regional Operations & Logistics Manager is expected to maintain a visible leadership presence within branch operations, distribution facilities, and key logistics partners.
• Operational Responsiveness – This role requires a high degree of schedule flexibility and responsiveness to address urgent operational issues, transportation disruptions, customer escalations, branch performance concerns, critical carrier reviews, and other business-critical events.
