Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Description

The Operations Supervisor (Warehouse) is responsible for overseeing the accurate processing of customer orders, coordinating outbound shipments, and ensuring seamless communication between warehouse operations, customers, and transportation partners. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient shipping workflows, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting overall warehouse logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Process, validate, and release customer orders in internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments, including scheduling carriers, booking trailers, and managing transportation timelines.
  • Oversee inventory management activities, including monitoring stock levels, performing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring inventory accuracy within the system.
  • Maintain real-time visibility of inventory and proactively flag shortages, overstock, or inconsistencies.
  • Review and reconcile shipping documentation (e.g., packing slips, Bills of Lading) to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain shipping, inventory, and logistics records in accordance with company standards.
  • Serve as the central point of communication between warehouse teams, customers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Provide timely updates on order status, shipment tracking, and inventory availability, including escalation of any issues or delays.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and inventory flow, proactively resolving delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Support daily warehouse operations by coordinating workflow priorities and optimizing processes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping, or logistics coordination.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and inventory accuracy best practices.
  • Solid understanding of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and packing slips.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse or ERP systems.
