Rayonier is seeking a seasoned and proactive IT professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, mentoring others, and driving operational excellence to join our team as a Senior IT Operations Analyst.

Reporting directly to the Director of IT Operations, you will operate with a high degree of independence to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our enterprise end-user computing and core IT services. This is an impactful role where you will serve as the ultimate technical escalation point, design robust operational workflows, and collaborate closely with Information Security and Infrastructure teams to safeguard and optimize our systems.

How You Will Contribute

Advanced Technical Support and Incident Resolution:

  • Serve as the highest-level escalation point for end-user computing and application support issues.

  • Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex, cross-system hardware, software, and access-related incidents.

  • Support and optimize Microsoft Office 365, endpoint platforms, and enterprise business applications (on-premises and SaaS).

  • Coordinate with vendors, manage service providers, and internal teams to resolve critical incidents and root causes.

  • Lead incident response activities related to endpoint and user-access issues in collaboration with Information Security.

Endpoint, Identity, and Optimization Management:

  • Oversee and optimize user identity lifecycle management across Active Directory, Office 365, and integrated SaaS platforms.

  • Design, implement, and maintain endpoint standards, configurations, and security baselines.

  • Lead endpoint management, patching strategies, and operating system lifecycle planning.

  • Evaluate and implement improvements to endpoint security, device compliance, and monitoring tools.

  • Ensure operational practices align with security policies, compliance requirements, and audit expectations.

Process Improvement, Documentation, and Leadership:

  • Design, document, and continuously improve IT operations processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.

  • Develop and maintain advanced technical documentation and operational runbooks.

  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Level 1 and Level 2 IT staff.

  • Identify trends and recurring issues through metrics and analysis and drive long-term remediation strategies.

  • Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations as required for critical systems.

Training, Communication, and Stakeholder Support

  • Lead new-hire technology onboarding and advanced user training initiatives.

  • Partner with business leaders to understand operational needs and translate them into IT solutions.

  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Support change management efforts related to new tools, systems, and processes.

IT Asset, Vendor, and Financial Management

  • Provide oversight of IT purchasing, asset lifecycle management, and vendor relationships.

  • Ensure accurate tracking of hardware assets, software licenses, renewals, and subscriptions.

  • Support IT leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and cost-optimization initiatives.

  • Evaluate vendors and technologies to ensure operational effectiveness and value.

What You Bring to the Team

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in IT support, IT operations, or end-user computing roles.

Technical Mastery: Expert-level troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, endpoint devices, and enterprise applications. Advanced experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and endpoint management platforms. Strong understanding of endpoint security, identity management, and operational best practices.

Execution & Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead complex initiatives, prioritize work independently, and make sound technical decisions. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working closely with Information Security, Infrastructure, or Cloud teams. Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP). Experience with automation, scripting, or systems management tools (e.g., PowerShell). Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
