We are looking to hire an Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Herndon, VA. This position reports to the Program Manager.

The Operations Support Specialist will support the program management team in daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, tracking travel document expiration dates, invoicing, ensuring personnel are current on training requirements, making travel arrangements for program personnel, and other miscellaneous tasks. Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and best practices.

The Operations Support Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee and coordinate the tracking/submission/issuance of program-related travel requirements.

  • Assist with validating that personnel are compliant for work assignments.

  • Data entry that includes updating personnel files, emergency contact information, and suitability data.

  • Provide courier support between PGI offices and customer sites as needed.

  • Participate in issue resolution actions.

  • Reconcile and code program-related expenses as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at a minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred.

  • Must possess at least one (1) year of operations administration experience.

  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook

  • Ability to demonstrate professional communication via verbal, written, and email correspondence in English.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic random drug screening.

  • U.S. Citizenship

Required Security Clearance:

  • Minimum of a U.S. Government Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work at a desk using computers and other typical office equipment for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
