Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, provide accurate financial reporting, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to improve processes and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for leadership

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience and or combination of education/work experience.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

  • High level of integrity and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CMA designation

  • Experience in Manufacturing settings

  • Experience with ERP systems
