About this position

Description:

Elite Interactive Solutions LLC

Mission

Serve as the operational leader of the accounting function, ensuring timely, accurate financials while proactively identifying issues, driving accountability, and continuously improving accounting processes.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own the monthly close from planning through completion, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial package preparation.
  • Investigate financial anomalies before escalation, delivering root cause analysis, quantified impacts, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Lead the accounting team across AP, AR, payroll support, fixed assets, and general ledger activities.
  • Drive cross-functional accountability with Operations, Service, Sales, HR, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Improve close processes, controls, reconciliations, and reporting discipline to reduce cycle time and increase confidence in the financials.
  • Support audits, tax compliance, and internal controls while maintaining audit-ready documentation.
What Success Looks Like
  • Financial statements are consistently delivered on time with minimal post-close adjustments.
  • Variances are explained before leadership asks.
  • Issues are escalated with analysis and solutions, not just problems.
  • The accounting team operates with clear ownership and accountability.
  • The Controller spends time reviewing and leading rather than chasing information.
Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 10 plus years of progressive accounting experience with 3-5+ years leading an accounting team. Technology savvy. Have strong experience in leveraging AI tools and other accounting tools
  • High EQ and high maturity level. Can build structure from potentially messy situations. Big 4 experience a plus.
  • Strong operational accounting background in construction, manufacturing, distribution, security, field services, logistics, healthcare operations, or similar operational businesses.
  • Experience with cost accounting, job costing, service operations, inventory, labor, and gross margin analysis.
  • Proven ownership of month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, tighten controls, and accelerate the close.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, imperfect environment where systems and processes continue to evolve.
  • Strong NetSuite or comparable ERP experience.
Critical Competencies
  • Analytical curiosity and root-cause investigation.
  • Operational understanding beyond debits and credits.
  • Strong judgment on materiality and accounting issues.
  • Ability to influence and hold other departments accountable.
  • Hands-on leadership with a bias toward execution.
  • High urgency, organization, and follow-through.
What We Are Not Looking For
  • A pure GL or reporting accountant.
  • A lease accounting specialist.
  • Someone who has only worked in highly structured Fortune 500 environments.
  • A task executor who simply escalates issues without first investigating them.
  • Someone who depends on perfect systems and clean data to be successful.
  • Eligible employees enjoy:
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
    • Company-paid Basic Life and AD&D Insurance
    • Company-paid Long-Term Disability Insurance
    • 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match
    • Health Savings Account (HSA) with Company Contributions (for eligible plans)
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays
    • Gym Membership Reimbursement
    • Employee Referral Bonus Program
    • Professional Development and Training Opportunities
    • Career Growth and Advancement Opportunities
    Why Join Elite?
    • Collaborative and team-oriented culture
    • Opportunities to make a meaningful impact in a growing organization
    • Commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and employee development
