Aquent is thrilled to partner with a leading financial institution, a pioneer in the financial services industry, dedicated to safeguarding clients and the integrity of the financial system. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our client's team and play a pivotal role in shaping their evolving digital assets and spot crypto offerings. This is an incredible opportunity to directly impact the overarching strategies and policies that protect both the company and its clients in a rapidly expanding and innovative space. If you're ready to apply your subject matter expertise to drive governance, oversight, policy, and process development, and contribute to a secure financial future, this role is for you!
**Make Your Mark: What You'll Do**
As an individual contributor, you will be at the forefront of managing risk in the dynamic world of digital assets. Your contributions will be critical to the successful deployment and ongoing operation of the digital assets risk management program. You'll collaborate with diverse teams, identify emerging risks, and help build robust solutions that safeguard the company and its clients.
* Support the Director in ensuring the successful deployment and operational excellence of the digital assets risk management program and roadmap deliverables.
* Strategically coordinate with various enterprise risk teams and program stakeholders to identify, assess, respond to, measure, and report key risks related to product implementation and continuous monitoring.
* Provide essential subject matter expertise in defining business, technical, and operational requirements within the crypto and digital assets space, proactively identifying gaps and issues.
* Analyze, triage, and support risk escalations related to digital assets, participating in resolutions or recommending further investigation as appropriate.
* Engage in root cause analysis, identify risk themes, and contribute to thematic issue resolution, including related reporting and remediation efforts.
* Assist the Director with detailed documentation, administration, and reporting for program-related committees and subcommittees.
* Serve as a thought leader in the creation and implementation of comprehensive, holistic controls across a complex and decentralized business environment, catering to a diverse range of users.
* Stay ahead of emerging and regulatory risks in crypto and digital assets, maintaining expert knowledge to help the Director ensure the program adapts to business and regulatory drivers without compromising operational efficiency.
* Actively contribute to a high-performing risk team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Aid in developing program and operating procedures to continually enhance the digital assets risk management program.
* Support the management of responses to program-related audit and regulatory inquiries.
* Assist in managing responses to program-related inquiries from leadership, businesses, subsidiaries, teams, and partners.
* Lead cross-functional efforts among program teams and stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development of metrics, reports, and briefings for key program stakeholders and senior leadership.
**What You'll Bring**
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a risk management practitioner, with increasing responsibility for deliverables and projects, preferably in digital assets and/or highly regulated banking entities.
* Hands-on experience working in an enterprise risk or operations program.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze issues objectively, anticipate potential impacts, and apply creative thinking to manage risks effectively.
* Solid understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and laws related to digital assets and spot crypto offerings.
* Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, for effectively engaging with business and executive audiences.
* Proven experience in gathering requirements, documenting, and assessing information for implementing risk controls.
* Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
* High degree of initiative; a self-starter, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Bachelor's degree required.
**Bonus Points**
* A curious thinker with strong business judgment and analytical skills, capable of solving complex problems and driving work forward.
* Strong project management skills, including meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently (independently and with teams) to meet tight deadlines.

* Dynamic relationship-building, partnership, and collaborative skills.
