Job Summary
We are looking to hire an IT Project Manager who will be based in Austin TX. In this role you will be accountable for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects for an organization. You will typically oversee the entire project from beginning to end, including setting deadlines, coordinating resources, and managing budgets. Project managers are also accountable for ensuring the project meets its goals.
What at typical day looks like:
  • Coordinates projects of varying degrees of complexity from design and development to production.
  • Defines resources (and resource allocation) and schedule for implementation.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Performs feasibility and needs/impact assessments.
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones.
  • Directs and oversees project team and manages conflicts within group.
  • Performs team assessments and evaluations.
  • Monitors project progress, timelines and budget constraints to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Assess causes of problems and provide technical support and direction to project team to resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Interact frequently with customers and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management; frequently interact with middle management and individual contributor groups.
  • Prepare purchase orders as per established process.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent systems experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Typically requires 7 years of information technology experience, including supervision.
  • Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/ technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Impacts the medium-term direction and operational success of the function.
  • Executes and provides input to functional plans and objectives for the site.
  • Has experience in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives.
  • May have P&L responsibility for accounts/projects.
  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results; may propose/ provide input to defining methods, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates team in making group decisions.
