Position Summary

The Program Manager is an integral part of the project execution process and forms an integral link between all departments, procedures & resources involved in its success.

The Program Manager will report to the Site Director and the primary responsibility is to lead, drive, and manage all applicable engineering and technical aspects associated with the Product Development Process (PDM), Continuous Improvement initiatives, and necessary production/manufacturing support. The Product Development Process includes (but not limited to) the specification, ordering, development, qualification, installation, validation & production ramp-up of automated production cells (injection molds and automation) that are designed for the high speed, mass-volume production and assembly of high quality dispensing closure systems. This process requires the position to apply all internal standards, procedures and activity necessary for effective project execution. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and adhere to all system procedures and Company policies / procedures.
  • Independently interface effectively with Customers, Suppliers, and Aptar's Operations group on both project and general dispensing closures technical matters.
  • Work with Marketing, Customers, Suppliers and other relevant sources to identify, research, develop and apply new technology to products and processes.
  • Ensure that projects result in products which meet Customer, Marketing and Aptar's requirements using personal skills and industry knowledge
  • Ensure that the specific needs and constraints of the Aptar's Operations group are effectively addressed during project execution.
  • Serve as a vital and effective communication link between Customers and the Team.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety regulations.
  • Travel - Domestic and occasional international travel is required to carry out job requirements.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Technical Degree Preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience in plastic products or injection molding.
  • Training and experience in project management.
  • Tooling experience.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).
