Site Director - Columbia, SC (New Site Launch)

DCM Services, LLC | Columbia, SC | Full-Time | Exempt | Bonus Eligible (Quarterly)

About DCM Services

DCM Services (DCMS) is a nationally recognized leader in debt recovery and accounts receivable management, proudly serving financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and creditors across the country for over 30 years. Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, DCMS has built a reputation for combining performance-driven results with an unwavering commitment to compliance, client service, and employee culture.

We are growing - and we're bringing that commitment to excellence to a brand-new location in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, values-driven organization at the ground floor of something new.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Site Director to lead our new Columbia, SC operation from the ground up. This is not a caretaker role - it's a builder role. You'll be the most senior leader on-site, responsible for everything from pre-opening planning and staffing to long-term operational performance and culture.

If you've launched a new site before, led a high-performing collections or operations team, and are ready to put your stamp on something that will last - we want to talk to you.

Requirements

What You'll Do

Lead the Site Launch

  • Serve as the primary on-site executive, representing DCMS's values, culture, and strategic direction from day one
  • Own all phases of the launch: pre-opening planning, staffing, facility setup, technology deployment, and go-live
  • Partner closely with corporate leadership, HR, IT, and facilities teams to get the site fully operational
  • Travel more frequently to corporate HQ during the launch phase for planning, vendor coordination, and alignment - with travel normalizing as the site stabilizes

Run the Facility

  • Oversee day-to-day management of the physical site, including equipment, utilities, and vendor relationships
  • Manage facility budgets and ensure cost-effective stewardship of the space
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and building codes
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and emergency preparedness plans

Drive Operational Performance

  • Manage to company profitability targets, including Account Collection Rates and revenue per FTE
  • Leverage data for internal and client-facing performance forecasting
  • Anticipate changing client needs and adapt operations to stay ahead

Build and Lead the Team

  • Recruit, build, and develop cross-functional teams capable of tackling complex challenges
  • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and recognition
  • Establish site-specific policies and workflows aligned with company standards

Ensure Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all federal and state collection laws
  • Act as a role model for client excellence and ethical conduct
  • Maintain information security standards per company policy
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of collections management or operations leadership experience
  • Prior experience launching or opening a new office/site strongly preferred
  • Experience managing facility operations or working with facilities vendors is a plus
  • Familiarity with Finivi FACS or comparable collections software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, reporting, and spreadsheet tools
  • A self-directed leader comfortable being the senior person in the room - and the building
Education
  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management preferred
Licensing & Certifications

Upon hire, candidates must be eligible to obtain all state-mandated licensing and certifications, including:

  • Collection agency manager and compliance licenses (e.g., Michigan, Nevada)
  • Registration with the Minnesota Department of Commerce
