Overview

Operations Reporting Analyst

Compensation: $75K-100K plus 10% Bonus

Location: US-Remote

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Reporting Analytics

Background Required: Experience with KPI reporting, Power BI Development, Operational analytics projects to tangible programs in a large, multi-unit organization.

Position Summary

The Operations Reporting Analyst supports Sun Auto's multi-brand automotive service network by building high-quality operational reporting, developing Power BI dashboards, and delivering insights that help field and corporate leaders drive revenue, margin, and operational execution. This role blends analytics, business acumen, and visual storytelling to enable faster and more informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operational reports and KPIs used across field and corporate teams.
  • Design and publish dynamic Power BI dashboards that improve visibility into storelevel and enterprise performance.
  • Conduct adhoc analyses to identify trends, performance drivers, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting outputs
  • Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with leadership, operations, finance, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Present findings in clear, concise, business focused narratives that support decision making.
  • Provide ongoing support and training for users of reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend opportunities to standardize reporting processes, streamline data workflows, and automate recurring outputs.
  • Contribute to the development of new KPIs and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Support initiatives that enhance operational execution, customer experience, and profitability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard development).
  • Strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and storytelling.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred

  • Experience working with SQL or similar dataquery languages.
  • Background in multilocation retail, service, or automotive industries.
  • Familiarity with operational KPIs, financial metrics, and performance measurements.
  • Experience working with large datasets, ETL processes, or enterprise data environments.
