The Job/What You'll Do:

The Sales Operations Analyst will deliver data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions across sales and marketing, driving organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The role serves as a key business partner to AssetMark's Strategic Accounts, Institutional Sales, Bank & Trust, and RIA Sales teams. This role supports day-to-day sales operations, Salesforce reporting and workflows, performance analytics, and execution of key sales planning processes. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, operational rigor, and an understanding of advisor-focused sales organizations within financial services or wealth management.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in Phoenix, AZ, Chicago, IL, or Concord, CA.

Responsibilities:

Sales Operations Support & Execution:

  • Support the daily workflow of requests received by Sales Operations from Strategic Accounts, Institutional Sales, Bank & Trust, and RIA Sales
  • Support ad hoc projects and assignments as needed for Sales Operations leadership and Channel & Client Growth teams

Sales Performance Analytics & Reporting:

  • Create and deliver performance reporting using Salesforce, CRM Analytics, Power BI, Excel, and other tools to illustrate performance against sales objectives
  • Measure, analyze, and communicate key performance metrics, including sales growth, pipeline progression, conversion rates, sales activity, advisor engagement, and goal achievement
  • Deliver actionable insights and content for sales management, senior leadership, business reviews, and executive summaries
  • Work alongside Business Intelligence and Sales Compensation to drive accurate reporting measures for the sales organization

Salesforce & CRM Enablement:

  • Maintain, refine, and enhance dashboards in Salesforce and CRM Analytics to deliver actionable insights and critical data for measuring sales goals and KPI achievement
  • Promote and drive adoption of new Salesforce tools and workflow processes throughout the organization

Customer Segmentation & Growth Analysis:

  • Analyze sales trends, business development activity, advisor behaviors, and market penetration to support targeting and growth strategies
  • Provide recommendations that support client acquisition, retention, and expansion initiatives

Forecasting, Pipeline Management & Sales Process Improvement:

  • Work directly with Sales Managers and Team Leads to implement best practices in opportunity, funnel, and pipeline management to support accurate sales forecasting
  • Support forecasting processes through analysis of historical performance, pipeline activity, and key business drivers

Territory Planning & Capacity Management:

  • Optimize territory coverage and capacity to ensure effective resource allocation across supported sales channels

Cross-Functional Projects & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Sales Compensation, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and CRM Development teams to support data governance and operational alignment
  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives with data-driven recommendations aligned to organizational priorities and strategic goals

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce reporting, CRM Analytics, Power BI, Excel, and data visualization best practices
  • Experience working with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce CRM, including reporting, dashboard development, and data management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, customer segmentation, and sales performance measurement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with sales management, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Adaptable problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset to meet evolving business needs

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Analytics, Financial Services, or a related field
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM and sales reporting environments.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong customer service orientation and commitment to operational excellence
  • Experience supporting sales, operations, analytics, or business planning functions within financial services, wealth management, asset management, banking, or fintech industries
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment supporting Sales, Marketing, Technology, Finance, or Business Intelligence teams

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $80,000-$90,000 for Phoenix and Chicago and $90,000-100,000 for Concord.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
