We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Finance/Accounting Manager

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assures and establishes proper accounting controls and procedures performed in line with regulatory accounting requirements US GAAP , SOX, SEC, etc
  • Leverages expertise and proven track record within Great Plains environment, while managing the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements reporting
  • Supervises daily operations of the accounting department including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Operational Accounting
  • Responsible for General Ledger and all associated organization
  • Regularly prepares and provides analytical review of reports and statistics reflecting assets, liabilities, financial transactions, cash balances, and other financial results
  • Maintains accounts and records of disbursements and expenses
  • Coordinates with management and operations teams to develop and improve accounting policies, procedures and information flow
  • Works with department managers, corporate staff and external customers to develop and implement key business processes and appropriate controls
  • Manages financial audits and follows through on recommendations for the ongoing improvement of procedures and controls
  • Ensures key policies and procedures are documented to satisfy internal controls and audit requirements
  • Supervises Accounting staff to include; performance management, time keeping, counseling, training, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements for examples automation and the use of AI across accounting workflows
  • Manages the Tax processes

Education, Training and Skills

  • Proven history of managing the key financial functions including the management of people
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; with at least 4 years related experience as an Accounting or Billing Manager leading a department
  • CPA required
  • BIG 4 public accounting background (audit or advisory) preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office with advance skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and Great Plains accounting software
  • Understanding of a manufacturing environment and the integration of the accounting department into the organization
  • Ability to work with limited supervision

Working Conditions and Essential Abilities & Functions

  • Warehouse environment (may not be climate-controlled)
  • Occasional standing, crouching and stooping
  • Frequent sitting, reaching and twisting
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
