Job description

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring a PRN seasoned Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. This position is day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays. The ideal candidate will have strong Scrub and circulating experience. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare.


ABOUT US:

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility providing cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment. We are located on the campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Full-Time
  • Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Circulate/Scrub surgical procedures including GI/Endo
  • Providing communication between team members in the surgical field and persons outside the operating room
  • Maintaining sterile environment during the surgical procedure
  • Conducting and documenting sponge/sharps and instrument counts as required during the surgical procedure
  • Completing intra-operative documentation of the procedure
  • Acting as the patientโ€™s advocate during patient's stay in the operating room
  • Assisting with room turnover, including disposal of trash and linen, cleaning of OR table and floor, assembly and opening of sterile supplies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • One-year operating room nursing experience is required
  • Two or more years of adult scrub and/or circulating experience in an ASC is highly desired
  • Must be skilled to function in both OR/Endo
  • Current RN license in the state of Virginia
  • BLS Certification required
